Joint Peace Fund

The Joint Peace Fund (JPF) is an organization set up by international donors to support peace in Myanmar. Their innovative design takes a holistic approach, supporting a broad range of stakeholders and projects at all levels of society. From the high level negotiation process to remote communities working for peace in their villages, this support reflects their belief that the road to peace in Myanmar lies in an inclusive approach.

Norwegian People’s Aid

Norwegian People’s Aid is a politically independent membership-based organisation working in Norway and in more than 30 countries around the world. Founded in 1939 as the labour movement’s humanitarian solidarity organisation, NPA aims to improve people’s living conditions and to create a democratic, just and safe society. NPA’s international work covers three core areas: Mine Action and disarmament, Development and Humanitarian relief aid.

UNDP

UNDP has been providing development assistance to the people of Myanmar since the 1950s. UNDP operated under a restricted mandate from 1993 until 2012 implementing the Human Development Initiative programme which provided assistance directly to communities and individuals for improving their lives and livelihoods.

University of Sussex

A highly ranked research-intensive university near Brighton with both an international and local outlook.

Covenant involves in the Protracted Displacement Economies (PDE) research project which is funded by UK Research and Innovation through the Global Challenges Research Fund. The PDE investigates economic activity among those affected by long-term displacement, to promote and support inclusive and sustainable livelihoods. Led by the University of Sussex, teams in five countries (the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Myanmar and Pakistan) undertake research in a variety of settings.
